After years of always being the brides maid and never the bride, Team Moose finally took 1st place in the men's division of "The Ride" put on by Mercy Health and is a fundraiser promoting heart health. Each year at The Lakes Mall, 8 person teams ride for 25 minutes each and their mileage is collected. The team with the most total miles wins their division.
The Moose team was in Beast Mode with everyone improving on last year's performance. Even I, the Old Man on the team, turned in my personal best effort. The result was an awesome 145.45 team total which is good for first in the Men's Division and second over all out of 57 teams.
This years team consisted of myself, Jon Venlet, Gary Church & Tim Bunning. We welcomed back Joe Feldpaush and Rick Mikkelson. New to the team this year Rob Richardson and Michael Ware. Y'all were amazing and I certainly hope to see ya again next year for the 15th Ride.
