Zach Braff & Donald Faison Joke About A ‘Scrubs’ NFT

On this episode of Fake Doctors, Real Friends, the Scrubs episode “My Best-Laid Plans” has Zach Braff and Donald Faison debating whether or not someone can – or should – stay friends with an ex. Plus, Valerie Bertinelli “hooked it up” for Donald’s daughter’s birthday so perfectly that she started crying; Zach complains about bad action directing; and they both think only Crazy-Eyes Margo ended up looking good in this episode because all the boys are lying their butts off the whole time. Then, Mitch calls in; he recently appeared in his Fake Doctors onesie on an Australian game show, and tells them all about working in a coal mine and his own podcast Life’s A Mitch.

They share some of their favorite lines from the episode (“I’m just proud of my abs! Well…. Ab.” “Randall, I saved you from that eagle!” “That’s all I ever get from you guys, tugboats and arson”), and complain about how dumb Turk is, flirting and giggling with his ex-girlfriend from college without telling her he’s married. Donald is a “burn the bridge” guy; he never stays friends with an ex, especially if they had a long-term relationship, and if he saw one of CaCee Cobb’s exes coming their way, “I would choke him out!” Zach thinks a casual Instagram comment or small talk here and there is perfectly acceptable, but otherwise, “I don’t think anyone wants to hear that you’re regularly chatting with your ex.” But no matter what you think about staying friends with an ex, what Turk is doing is not cool: “He’s trying to have his cake and eat it too,” Donald says.

Then Mitch calls in from a small town in Australia (“this place is such s**t that they have a mullet festival,” he tells them), and talks about why he chose to appear on a game show in his onesie, asks for advice about promoting his podcast, and wonders which movie or TV characters they would put in Scrubs. Zach warns Donald not to put any Star Wars characters into the show, but Donald says all he can think of is that he’d love for Spike Lee to have directed an episode. Then it’s Zach’s turn, and he says seriously, “I would like Grogu, personally.” Plus, Zach suggests filming the scene where the Janitor saves Randall from an eagle and turning it into an NFT; they talk about The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, The Father, and Stowaway; Donald provides some dirty details about his new plant-based lifestyle, and much more: Hear the entire hilarious conversation on Fake Doctors, Real Friends.
