Reba McEntire seemingly sported an engagement ring on the red carpet of The Voice on Monday evening (December 4). But she assured fans that the eye-popping diamond accessory doesn’t means she’s walking down the aisle any time soon.
McEntire spoke about her shimmering boots and other elements of her look when she spoke with Entertainment Tonight’s Cassie DiLaura, who asked the country music powerhouse about the ring she was wearing on her left hand. McEntire told DiLaura, “I just found it,” and assured her that, “yes, you are,” the only one between the two of them planning a wedding. McEntire opted to wear the ring, “over here (and) just get everybody talk about it.”
McEntire has been dating her boyfriend, actor Rex Linn, since 2020. They met in the early 1990s on the set of Kenny Rogers’ The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw. They reconnected while working on Young Sheldon, and have been “inseparable ever since,” McEntire previously shared. She also said in an interview on the Jennifer Hudson Show that she and Linn have adorable nicknames for one another based on an appetizer McEntire couldn’t resist on a date with Linn: tater tots. McEntire said: “We’re the tots… Sugar and tater. So, we’ve been together ever since.”
The Not That Fancy star said it would be Linn’s decision whether they ever tie the knot, she said during a recent interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“That would be up to him,” McEntire said. “I’ve been married twice. He’s never been married. So, if he wants to [get married], that’s totally up to him.”
