LeAnn Rimes rescheduled additional performance dates as her “severe illness” continues.

The Grammy-winning artist, 43, shared in a new statement on her Instagram story on Friday afternoon (May 1): “After a diagnosis of Covid leading to severe laryngitis, I’m so sorry to have to reschedule next week’s shows. A visit to my doctor for a scope of my vocal chords has confirmed the news and I wanted to tell you as soon as I could. I’m excited to share that we have been able to reschedule and the new dates are as follows. I look forward to seeing you all soon!”

Rimes was originally scheduled to perform on Friday, May 8 in Waukegan, Illinois, and on Saturday, May 9 in Wilmington, Ohio. Those performances have been postponed to November 6 and November 7, respectively. Tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates. Refunds will be available via point of purchase for fans unable to attend the new dates, per Rimes’ statement.

“It breaks my heart, having to reschedule these shows,” Rimes stated. “There is no place I would rather be next week than celebrating with all of you. However, this is sadly out of my hands until I get this under control. Sending you all my love, Le.”

Rimes, who is celebrating 30 years of Blue this year, shared earlier this week that “due to severe illness, I am unable to travel & perform… I am truly heartbroken to have to reschedule and I am so very grateful for your kindness and continued support as I recover. I look forward to bring back on stage and seeing you very soon.”
