Pillars of Hope Illumination Gala for Purple Pansies for Pancratic Cancer

Pancreatic cancer has the highest mortality rate of all cancers but receives only 6% of research funding. That is why my friend Maria Fundora founded the 501 c-3 non-profit PURPLE PANSIES after losing her mother to the deadly desease in 2007. Since it's beginning, Purple Pansies has raised over $5 Million dollars to fund research, clinical trials, early detection, and to aide families nationwide who have a family member suffering from pancreatic cancer and need financial.

Their largest fund raiser, the 14th annual Pillars Of Hope Purple Pansies Gala for pancreatic cancer will take place Sunday, September 10th in Cumming, Georgia at a new location, Astro Celebrations. This year it's called ILLUMINATION as a tribute to her mother and the bright light of hope the event shines for Pancreatic Cancer patients.

The amazing Dave Price is once again the key speaker. A delicious multi-course wine dinner prepared by Maria's family restaurant Casa Nouva will be served and you can further help the cause by joining in the live and silent/online auction with everything from 5 star local hotel stays, dinner at delicious restaurants, golf experiences, art, sports memorabilia, entertainment tix and of course....fine wine!

If you can't make it, you can still donate or check out the online auction!

I spoke with Maria about Purple Pansies and the amazing strides the funds from this organization has helped occomplish in getting one step closer to saving lives diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.
