Was this the worst summer ever? Apparently not. A new Economist/YouGov poll found that despite COVID, pretty much no sports, and every typical summer activity either canceled or vastly different, only 16% of respondents said it was their "worst summer ever." 30% described it as a "bad summer," 38% said it was an "average summer," and 14% said it was a "good summer." Just 2% of respondents said it was the “best summer ever.”

Do you own a home? How far away is it from being finished? A new survey found that the average home is five years and five months away from being “finished.”

Time to start your Christmas list …There’s a Golden Girls hot glass set. And these aren’t just an amazing edition to your bar – they also double as a drinking game. Cheers! (Delish)

Willy Wonka just came to life …and this is your shot to own your very own candy factory. David Klein, the founder of the name Jelly Belly, just announced a golden ticket-style treasure hunt with plenty of prizes -- including cash and the keys to one of his candy factories. To take part you must enter at GoldenTicket.com to get your first clue. There are only 1,000 participants per hunt and it costs $50 to enter, but the feedback has already been amazing. When asked about the hunt, Klein told a local news outlet, "The world needs this right now. We have received thousands of comments from people who say this has come at such a perfect time." Take the beach home in spirit … leave the sand.A French tourist was fined $1,200 after attempting to smuggle more than 4 pounds of sand from the Italian island of Sardinia in his suitcase. Since 2017, it’s been illegal to remove sand from Sardinia’s beaches, with penalties ranging from jail time to fines up to $3,550. The sand-stealing ban was put into effect after tourists started taking sand off the island’s beaches – particularly the unique colors like pink or extremely white. Some wanted to keep the sand as a souvenir – while others tried to resell it on the internet. (Travel & Leisure)
