Muskegon man killed in GR crash

GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (via WOOD TV) — A driver from Muskegon was killed when his vehicle crashed into the back of a semi-truck on East Beltline Avenue, Kent County authorities say.

It happened around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday in the northbound lanes of East Beltline Avenue/M-44 at Leonard Street in Grand Rapids Township.

Sgt. Joel Roon with the Kent County Sheriff’s Office says the semi-truck was stopped in traffic when the car collided with its trailer.

The driver of the car, a 32-year-old man from Muskegon, died in the crash. Authorities are withholding his name until his relatives have been notified.
